Lost Lake

Lost Lake is one of Whistler's favourite spots. Secluded, yet not too far from the Village, it's surrounded by lush evergreen forests and mountain views in the distance.

In the winter, Lost Lake is a popular place to cross-country ski and snowshoe with several trails and tracks that are clearly marked.

In the summer, Lost Lake is an ideal place to spend an afternoon. Shallow waters and a sandy beach make Lost Lake perfect for outdoor swimming. At Lost Lake you will find:

  • Washrooms
  • Pay phones
  • Picnic tables and barbecues
  • Sandy beaches and grassy areas
  • Lots of paths and trails for exploring
  • Concession stand serving food, drinks, snacks
  • A dog-friendly beach named "Canine Cove"
  • Shallow waters for swimming

Location

Walking to Lost Lake from Whistler Village takes about 30 minutes. It's good, outdoor Whistler-style exercise! Find your way with a Lost Lake map. Otherwise you can rent a mountain bike to take you there.

Lost Lake Shuttle

In July and August, Whistler Transit operates a free shuttle bus service from Gondola Transit Exchange and the Blackcomb Park 'n Ride Lot to Lost Lake.

There is no parking at Lost Lake, so the bus is the only way to go.

Activities are subject to availability and may be dependent on weather and conditions.
