Hiking Trails on Whistler Mountain

Ride the Whistler Gondola and ascend 6,000 feet up Whistler Mountain. Relax at the Roundhouse Restaurant with a latte, some lunch, and good company.

There are many trails and hiking routes at the top of Whistler Mountain. Skill levels range from easy to challenging and traverse fields of wildflowers (August is the best season), alpine lakes, and mountain-top forests.

NEW for 2006

The spectacular High Note Trail is the newest addition to Whistler Blackcomb's high alpine trail network. High Note is an eight-kilometre (five mile) trail that gives hikers the ultimate in coastal mountain views. The new trail is best suited for intermediate and above hikers with a good physical fitness level, has an elevation change of 345 metres (1,132 feet) and takes between three and four hours to complete.

Hiking

The Whistler area is bursting with trails, hikes, climbs, and secret pathways that can take you into a pristine natural wonderland. Wander past babbling brooks, over a suspension bridge, and through a field of colourful wildflowers.

Some routes are minutes from the Whistler Village, while others take you up to the peaks of snow-capped mountains. Don't forget your camera so you can capture those stunning views!

Whistler has hundreds of hiking adventures and trails:
